Clinical research is essential for developing and delivering effective clinical services, innovative treatments, and outstanding care to those who need it most.
Equally, knowledge and learning progress best through sharing and dissemination, via training, supervision, and supporting the growth of professionals across disciplines.
The human mind and body are deeply connected. Physical and mental health form a dynamic and intricate integration throughout the lifespan. Understanding and responding to this connection at every stage, and addressing all its needs, is vital to promote recovery, prevention, and optimisation.
Developing effective care therefore requires learning from past experience, integrating the existing evidence base with new discoveries, and continually improving our understanding, management, and treatment of complex conditions and human experiences.

Our Centre for Research & Application (R&A)
Across the Lifespan
Founded in 2004 in the United Kingdom (UK), our centre is dedicated to strengthening the relationship between clinical research and clinical care across the human lifespan. We apply a developmental perspective to the study of disorder, disease, health, and interventions.
The Centre for Research & Clinical Innovation (CRCI) was also established in 2004 in the UK for the purpose of improving the relationship between effective clinical research and effective clinical care.
LifeLab (LIL), was founded in 2007 in the UK. It was created to investigate the interplay between complex neuropsychological and human structures, mechanisms, functions, and processes.
Our mission is to integrate evidence-based research with clinical excellence at every stage of life.

Across the human lifespan
Our centre develops innovative clinical research and applications across the human lifespan for children, adults and older adults. We develop research from concept to theory, from clinical intervention to precise practice-based guidelines.
Life circumstances are never experienced in isolation. Our wellbeing as individuals, couples or families is influenced by wider social factors and the effectiveness of care systems to meet our needs.
Part of our research and development is on online therapy, which has a particular value in Digital Healthcare and AI-Health.
Equally important, our retreat-based therapies can enable the researchers & clinicians to devise and provide the most effective person-focused therapies.
